Chen Meibao, Director of the Transportation and Logistics Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, said in a blog on the 21st that the authorities will deepen cooperation with relevant departments in mainland China on green marine fuels next week and co-organize an event hosted by the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of the State.
Chen Meibao said that the event will bring together mainland green energy and Hong Kong shipping-related companies to provide a cooperation platform for exchanges, docking and business contact for suppliers and demand companies related to green marine fuels. He hopes to continue to make every effort to build Hong Kong into a green marine fuel filling and trading center, making Hong Kong the best choice for international liner companies, cargo owners and market green shipping, as well as an export window for domestic green marine fuels.
Chen Meibao pointed out that the global trade pattern is changing rapidly. As a small and outgoing economy, Hong Kong has a deeper feeling. Hong Kong's port and logistics industry has always faced many challenges. The authorities have taken the initiative to explore the supply of goods and consolidate their own strength. I believe that as long as we move forward with the industry, we will inevitably become stronger and stronger.
Chen Meibao said that the first time Hong Kong container ships were simultaneously loading liquefied natural gas and loading and unloading of goods were successfully completed, erecting a milestone for Hong Kong's green marine fuel refueling.
